The KASTEN light tower shelving is known worldwide as the "longspan" model, which has the advantage of sparse column spacing compared to traditional sheet metal storage shelving. The depth is usually the depth of a half pallet (600mm). This model is intended for large boxes, deep, wide and bulky items. A very useful dimension for the level is 600 x 1800 mm (=1,08 m2) where the basic box sizes 600x400 mm and 300x400 mm can easily be placed. The same shelving unit is also available as an Optimi shelving unit for shop shelves, which can be equipped with different hanging parts and perforated shelves.
